Reading

Reading is the key to learning in all areas of the curriculum. Class 3 read daily at school and are expected to read at least four times a week at home and record this in their reading  diary (which is checked every Monday). It is the most important homework activity and we encourage parents to be actively involved.

Regular reading is rewarded with house points and prizes.

The teacher reads a range of stories, non-fiction and poetry to the class each day.
