Autumn Term

Welcome to the Autumn term,

We hope that you had a lovely summer holiday and that you are all excited about being back and our learning.

Our essential question this term is 'How is Britain Great?' It is a very busy term this term; harvest festival, remembrance events, bonfire night and getting ready for Christmas too. Alongside this, we will be doing lots of fantastic learning and a couple of visits too. Please keep up to date with the diary dates in the school calendar.

See our project web here to see what we will be learning about this term in key stage 1.

Our Project Web and Key Vocabulary

 Science

As part of our science learning, we have been identifying materials and objects that are made from those materials. It was great fun to search for objects that were made of rock, paper, metal, fabric, plastic and wood. I wonder how many other objects you could find at home?

Religious and World-views

As part of our learning in Religious and World Views, we had a hunt for some different books around the field. Once we had found them all, we looked at the type of book that they were – are they special for believers, are they stories or are they books for learning?
