The Romans
Our essential question is - Who were the Romans?

Healthy Relationships Workshop
Respectful Communication
What is communication?
How do we communicate?
How can we communicate respectfully?
We wrote a set of instructions to help Tom draw a house to help us understand the importance of communication through reading and writing.
As the children instructed Tom, they realised how precise they needed to be, not presume that he understood what they meant and how this helps with communication.

The importance of listening - Tom asked the children questions in different languages. They needed to use their listening skills to see if they could identify any of the words to give them clues to what the answers to the questions would be.

We discussed how the words we use help us communicate to build better relationships, even when people aren’t our friends.

The children had to use their words to help each other guess what was on the board.
Children in Need 2025
Wow! We have had a visit from Pudsey Bear today. Some children and adults had a photo with him.

The children have worked with each other to critique and edit the first scene of their play scripts. The Year 4s have been super mentors to their Year 3 partners.
During short burst writing the children have written a setting and character description. Today they are working with their partners to edit these into a paragraph to set the scene for their play scripts.
Today we have worked together to create our plans for our playscripts. The year 4s have done a great job at encouraging and supporting the year 3s. Together we can learn, encourage, aspire, respect and nurture.
We have been using role play to learn the story of Romulus and Remus.
