I am in my 11th year of teaching at both Harlaxton and Denton Primary School where I am currently the Year 3 - 4 teacher in Class 2 at Denton. I have a passion for maths, so became the maths lead across both Harlaxton and Denton, and completed my training with the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Maths to become a Primary Mastery Specialist Lead for the East Midlands East Maths Hub and a Professional Development Lead.
I was born and grew up locally, spending several years living in Harlaxton as a child. After marrying my husband, I have been fortunate to experience living in different countries around the world, before deciding that we would come ‘home’ to settle. We have two daughters and in recent years have become grandparents, which is great fun.
The opportunity to join the board of governors arose, which I was keen to support; I have been part of the finance committee and have recently moved to the curriculum committee where look forward to adding value as a staff governor.
